Our offices in Rotterdam and Antwerp look after all your FCL-, LCL- and outsized or heavy freight shipments as well as project shipments over sea. In these ports, Rhenus Ocean has its own container freight stations, storage facilities in which we can stuff your container shipments, strip, store and transfer. Rhenus Ocean has selected sea freight partners in all the prominent ports, who can guarantee the quality of our service. Also, the offices in the Benelux receive the support of our own employees in Hong Kong, Jakarta, Curacao, Aruba, Johannesburg and Helsinki. In co-operation with our distribution centres in Etten-Leur and Tilburg we oversee the distribution of goods within Europe.

We calculate the most efficient route for your goods by way of origin, destination and the required arrival date. Of course we keep close contact with other parties in the chain during the entire logistical stage: customs, stevedores, shipments and other transporters, so that we can keep you informed on the status of your shipment.

Rhenus Ocean has a special South European Countries reefer department, which handles the import of mainly frozen foods from countries all over the world. This department is specialised in interpreting EU dispositions with regard to customs and veterinary control. Once the foods have been imported into the Netherlands or Belgium, they can easily be freely distributed within the European Union. The department is strategically based in Rotterdam and Antwerp harbours and its worldwide services include import and export clearance, fiscal representation, short and deep sea forwarding, receiving and controlling, door-to-door services, veterinary checkpoint and temperature controlled freight trucking. In addition, the department also handles the import and export of dry goods, both food and non-food and special projects to or from France and Spain. Our foreign staff is fluent in the native language and educated in the local customs in these countries.
